Saint-Jean-de-Losne
Seurre
Your cycling adventure continues after a last look back at France’s foremost river port. This stage of La Voie Bleue then meanders between river and countryside. Along the way, you encounter the impressive Canal de Dérivation de la Saône (a bypass canal) before rejoining the Saône and reaching the peaceful port of Seurre. From Pagny, it is possible to reach the Abbaye de Cîteaux via quiet little roads. It’s some 12km to get to this abbey, where the Cistercian Order was founded in 1098.

The route

La Voie Bleue shares the way with the EuroVelo 6 cycle route along this stage. You leave Saint-Jean-de-Losne via small roads. The way is secure for cyclists between
Chaugey and Pagny-la-Ville. The way bypasses the Technoport de Pagny and takes you along small roads up to Seurre, going via Lechâtelet and Chamblanc.

Don't miss

A stopover in Seurre means discovering the past in different ways with the discovery tour in the streets of the town, the game investigation at the Etang Rouge or quietly during a more classic guided tour.

Your steps will inevitably lead you to the "Artisanerie", a shop of craftsmen and 100% local producers installed for the summer in the Maison Bossuet. A historic residence which also houses a museographic space, a true concentrate of the Rives de Saône.
