Nestling in the heart of an unspoilt natural environment, the Grandes Heures Nature Outdoor Base is much more than just a leisure centre: it's a destination in its own right, a life-size playground dedicated to lovers of outdoor activities, families looking to get away from it all, sports enthusiasts and the curious keen to reconnect with what's essential.

Here, nature becomes a real experience. Forests, hills and remarkable landscapes create an authentic setting, ideal for both adventure and contemplation. At the foot of the Besançon Citadel, just a few minutes from the city's loop road, the base offers the ideal setting for fresh air, exercise, exploration and rejuvenation.

The Grandes Heures Nature outdoor base has been designed as a reference point for nature sports, offering a wide range of activities accessible to all levels.
As a starting point or directly on the hiking, mountain biking and trail routes, it allows everyone to put together a day or a holiday to suit their own tastes, either on their own or with a guide.

The base is also the epicentre of the region's water sports, with activities such as rowing, kayaking, canoeing, paddling and dragon boating available for hire, on a self-guided or supervised basis. It's a comprehensive range of activities, making the base an essential place to experience nature on land and water.
The signposted itineraries, landscaped areas and high quality equipment guarantee a safe, comfortable and environmentally-friendly experience. Experienced sportsmen and women, as well as occasional walkers, are invited to discover the region in a different way, as the seasons change.
