Halte fluviale du Moulin Saint-Paul
The Moulin Saint Paul boat stop is one of the Grand Besançon Métropole's 3 boat stops along the Doubs Valley.
Located in a green setting right in the centre of Besançon, this stopover offers boaters all the services they need for a pleasant stay.
On-site facilities include
- electricity and water points
- 24-hour access to toilets and showers (PRM access);
- a launderette (with optional laundry service);
- a refuelling station (petrol available at the Cité des Arts stopover);
- a waste water pump (grey, black, hydrocarbons) at the Cité des Arts rest area.
We also have a relaxing terrace where you can buy ice creams, hot and cold drinks and snacks à la carte for a well-deserved break.
The site manager, Doubs Plaisance, also offers electric boat hire so you can discover Besançon from a different angle. This city, whose Citadel is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to a wealth of architectural, historical and natural treasures.
The tour of the Besançon loop by electric boat takes around 2 hours, including the passage through 2 locks.
Electric bicycles can be hired for 1 hour to several days.
With a view to promoting more sustainable tourism, the Grand Besançon Métropole halts have been awarded the Blue Flag label since 2018 (protection of the environment and the marine environment), the "Accueil vélo" label since 2020 (signposted cycle routes nearby, cycle documentation, cycle parking, drinking water point, repair kit), and Tourisme & Handicap since 2019.
