The Abbey of Prémontrés is the most beautiful example of monastic architecture in Lorraine. An 18th century historical monument, the Abbey of the Prémontrés rises majestically in the middle of a 2.5 hectare park bordered by the Moselle. You can admire its three staircases (round, square, oval), its abbey church, its cloister lined with glass galleries and surrounded by historic rooms (large sacristy, canons' refectory, chauffoir room). While this monument, located in the city center of Pont-à-Mousson impresses by its proportions and its architecture, it is also an ideal place for lovers of nature, flowers and walks. The Garden of Scents, the Court of Honour Garden and the Moselle River Garden are three green spaces of a completely different style where you can stroll or read in the shade of the lime trees. This former abbey, now a cultural centre, organises exhibitions; an opportunity to discover artists from the Grand Est region such as Claude Goutin or Paul Flickinger, or to explore the region's know-how. Guided tours, animations, thematic events and workshops (especially for children) punctuate the cultural agenda. The association (law 1901) in charge of the influence of the abbey, its development and its conservation, welcomes conferences, seminars and receptions throughout the year and manages a 3-star hotel. A commercial activity that allows the abbey to finance its operations up to 85%. Entrance fees vary according to the exhibitions organised (full price: 6 or 10€ / reduced price: 3 or 6€), and contribute to the maintenance and restoration of the building.
