Académie Hôtel

Located in the heart of Old Lyon, a stone's throw from Saint-Paul train station, the Académie Hotel occupies a 15th-century Renaissance building that has witnessed seven centuries of hospitality. Completely renovated after a year of work, this intimate hotel with 12 rooms and suites combines historical heritage with contemporary design.
Its inner courtyard has been restored to its former glory, while several remarkable features have been restored, such as sculpted bases with coats of arms attributed to Estienne Guerrier, a hotelier since the 15th century. Some rooms even feature 15th-century murals, uncovered during archaeological excavations and carefully restored.
Inspired by the great Academies (French, Belles-Lettres, Fine Arts, Sciences), each floor develops a theme related to knowledge and scholarship, with numerous references to the great thinkers.
Please note: the nearby college also allows seminars and corporate events to be organized, offering an ideal solution for combining work and leisure in a unique historical setting.

In January 2026, L'Académie Hotel obtained Green Key certification for the second time. With over 100 criteria, this certification attests to the sincerity and effectiveness of its initiatives to reduce its impact on the planet: responsible consumption of water and energy, reduction of packaging, responsible purchasing, partnerships with local producers, CSR commitments, etc.
